Beginners
Cycle Program : Mark Slykhuis 0418 514 430
At
the start of the holidays 17-21 December, we are running a Beginners Cycling
Program aimed at developing skills for students to ride to school and around
the local streets and roads safely. Everyone can ride a bike, however many
students in the 9-14 age bracket, do not have sufficient knowledge of the road
rules and the potential risks when riding.
This course will provide the skills to
anticipate the actions of motorists and develop better bike handling which is
important for all cyclists at all levels. If you are interested in
registering your child for this program, you must send an email to me ASAP as there
are only two places left. The course will be run in the St Leonard’s
grounds initially and then some of the training will be held in local streets
and roads. The course will cost $80 and run each morning from 10.00am –
12.00pm. Payments can be made via the following link http://www.trybooking.com/38764 and
then please email Mark.Slykhuis@stleonards.vic.edu.au
. Those who have previously emailed me, I have reserved spots for however you
will need to pay on the Trybooking site above to confirm your place.
