The St Leonard's Parents’ Association ties together many groups within the College community and we encourage parental involvement. Parents may assist by listening to children read in the
Junior School, helping out at sports days, coordinating an activity for our wonderful
Community Day Fair or participating in some of the social activities, such as the annual Gala Ball, quiz nights, talent nights or weekend trips away.
We warmly welcome all parents, their input and new ideas.
The Association celebrates its commitment of fostering strong communal ties within the parent body. To this end, there is always a function on the horizon and a genuine opportunity for you to become involved. Just as your children will make lifelong friends at the College, our experience shows you will too.
Welcome BBQ

The Parents' Association organises a welcome barbecue in February each year. All parents who have joined the College since the previous February are invited. This is an informal gathering where parents are able to meet other new parents to the College.
Secondhand Book Exchange
The Parents' Association coordinates a book exchange held at the end of each year for families to buy and sell years 5 to 12 secondhand books. All unwanted or unsold books are donated to Open Family Australia, which distributes them to underprivileged children throughout Victoria.
Year 12 Parents Thank You Dinner
This barbecue was initiated as a way to say thank you to parents of year 12 students for their enormous contribution to College life whilst their child has been a student. It is also an opportunity for parents to meet, in a formal sense, one final time.
Babysitting/Waiting/Home Help Registry
The Parents' Association compiles a list of year 10 to 12 students who are available to undertake these tasks. Details, including pay rates, are available at each of the school offices. This is a useful resource for both the students and parents.
Seminars
The Parents' Association coordinates and hosts information seminars for College parents and the wider Bayside community. In the past, guest speakers have included Kathy Walker and Paul Dillon.
