Get ready for Community Day Fair 2018!

The Community Day Fair will be held on Saturday 17 March 2018 from 10.00am to 4.00pm. Add the date to your diaries now! The funds raised in 2018 will again go towards Lennie’s Van, our food van which will help feed Melbourne’s homeless and food vulnerable.

There are many ways you can be involved – donating secondhand books and clothing, making preserves, donating to the Silent Auction or if you are interested in becoming involved in a different way, we would love to find you a job that you help with.

Secondhand Books and Clothing
Over the summer, if you are cleaning out your cupboards, please put aside any good quality clothes, shoes and books, These items can be dropped off from the first day of school next year. Delivery is to the storage unit behind the Year 5/6 Building, access via the staff car park on Ratho Avenue between 8.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday.

Preserves
We welcome donations of fruit that we can use to make jams and chutneys. Please contact us if you have a fruit tree (including lemons) and would like to donate the fruit.

If you are interested in making preserves for the 2018 Community Day Fair, Preserve Kits are available. The kit includes jars, instructions and links to recipe ideas. We are no longer collecting recycled jars unless they are the standard jars purchased at the fair in the previous two years – 250ml (63mm lid) or 375ml (63mm lid).  If you still have these empty jars, please drop them off at the Junior School or Main Reception. Please bring back all jars clean and label-free. We will accept jars with or without lids.
