St Leonard’s claim ACS grand final victory

St Leonard’s senior ACS teams displayed incredible effort at the summer grand finals on Thursday 29 March.

With a roaring crowd of students, parents and staff, we witnessed some fantastic and nail-biting games. The Firsts and Seconds Mixed Touch Rugby teams continued their dominance this season with 12-7 and 12-2 wins respectively.

It was a close match for the Seconds Boys Basketball team against Overnewton, which saw the lead change many times throughout the afternoon. Despite a tough battle, our boys won 52-42. The Thirds Boys Basketball also dominated over Thomas Carr, with a final score of 55-28.

The wins were achieved through a concerted team effort, with some standout performances. Tanner Ellis, Max King, and Jack Skelley proved to be potent scoring combination for the Seconds Boys Basketball team, whilst Oscar To, Leo Spyrou and Angus Kennedy produced a strong performance in the Thirds Boys Basketball team.

Well done to all teams who made the finals. It is a fantastic achievement for our senior boys and girls, as it takes commitment and determination from all players to finish this season strong.
