Admission is subject to the availability of places, satisfactory interview and assessment, the College’s capacity to provide an appropriate program for the child, and acceptance of our Terms of Business.
To be considered for entry at St Leonard’s College, families are required to complete an Application for Enrolment and pay a non-refundable application fee.
Upon receipt of the completed Application for Enrolment, your child’s name will be added to the waiting list of those seeking entry in the year(s) and at the year level(s) nominated.
We welcome applications for places in ELC3, ELC4, prep, years 3, 4, 5, 7, 10 and 11. Limited places are also available in other year levels as they arise.
For the Early Learning Centre (ELC), priority for progression to an admission interview is given to children with the shortest period of time between the Application for Enrolment being received by the College and the date of the student’s birth. To be eligible for admission into the Early Learning Centre (ELC) at the beginning or during the school year, children must be three years of age by the end of January in the year of entry for ELC3. Entry directly into Prep following completion of ELC3 is not offered. A $3000 tuition deposit for prep that is not transferrable, refundable or able to be deferred to a future year level is required prior to entry to the ELC. This amount will be taken off the first term account after your child enters prep. Please note that under the State Government’s ‘No Jab, No Play’ legislation, the College is unable to provide enrolment into the Early Learning Centre without proof of up-to-date vaccinations.
Waitlist priority in all other year levels is given on the following basis, to children:
Some applicants (depending on waitlisted position and places available) will be invited to attend an interview with the Head of the appropriate section of the College, which the parents or guardian and student attend. Current school reports and the results of any external education-related testing undertaken are required prior to interview.
If a place is available for your child, a formal offer will be made, with payment of a non-refundable enrolment confirmation fee and signed acceptance of the College’s business terms required by the date nominated in the formal offer to secure the place.
