During the workshop sessions, conducted weekly during lunchtimes, students are immersed in the world of writing. Each term runs as an individual unit where students gain exposure to different styles, genres, and forms of writing via selected readings and robust discussion. They then apply these new skills to crafting pieces for submission. Diverse voices and skill sets are welcomed and celebrated, and any students passionate about short fiction, poetry, essays, or plays are encouraged to join.

The Writer’s Block Student Literary Group fosters an appreciation for the craft of writing and sparks the flame of creativity within each student. This, in turn, contributes to the flourishing literary community at St Leonard’s College.
