Years 3 to 6 Athletics
In term 1, our younger athletes dive into the excitement of House competitions, fostering team spirit and friendly rivalry. As the season progresses, afterschool training sessions prepare them for the South Yarra District Sports Association (SYDSA) competition in term 3. It’s not just about winning; it’s about instilling a love for athletics and promoting a healthy, active lifestyle from a young age.
Years 7 to 12 Athletics
For our older students, the athletic journey is an immersive experience. Term 1 kicks off with House competitions, setting the stage for spirited contests and House pride. Moving into term 2, afterschool training intensifies as athletes gear up for the highly anticipated ACS (Associated Coeducational Schools) competition. This event showcases our students’ dedication, skill, and sportsmanship.
ACS Athletics Success
St Leonard’s College boasts an illustrious history in ACS Athletics, with multiple victories over the years. Our teams emerged triumphant as the ACS Champions in 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2014, 2018, 2019, and 2022. These achievements not only reflect our commitment to athletic excellence but also highlight the consistent dedication and hard work of our students and coaching staff.
