“ Our St Leonard’s College basketball program, spanning Years 5 to 12, is designed to ignite a passion for the sport and cultivate skills that extend far beyond the game itself.”
Years 5 and 6
For our dynamic Years 5 and 6 students, we offer an engaging mixed competition with the Coeducational Independent Primary Schools Sports Association (CIPSSA) during the summer terms (Term 1 and 4), providing the perfect introduction to the world of basketball in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Years 7 to 12
As our students progress to Years 7 through 12, our program takes on a new level of intensity with separate Association of Coeducational Schools (ACS) competitions for boys and girls. The boys own the court during the summer terms (term 1 and 4), while the girls take charge in winter (term 2 and 3). These distinct seasons allow our athletes to shine individually and as part of a team, fostering teamwork, skill development, and a lifelong love for the game.
At St Leonard’s, we celebrate the power of sport to shape character, build resilience, and create lasting memories.
Basketball Club
In addition to the above mentioned basketball opportunities, we also offer a Basketball Club as part of our Club Sport cocurricular program (which requires a membership and/or participation fee). Click here to learn more.
