About the Role 

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Accounts Payable professional to join our School community.

A member of the College’s Finance Office staff, the primary function of this position is the preparation and payment of accounts that result in the efficient and effective payment for goods and services received.

This position requires accurate and timely processing of accounts payable documentation, preparation of batches for payment, reconciling of creditor statements and filing. There is day-to-day support available from an experienced Supervisor within the Finance Team but the incumbent is expected to operate without direct supervision.

To be successful in this opportunity you will require: 

  • A strong understanding of the accounts payable process including placing of orders
  • Practical knowledge of GST matters
  • Basic book-keeping knowledge
  • Initiative
  • Integrity
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work well within a small administrative team
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Established computer skills including good Word and Excel knowledge
