Position Purpose
St Leonard’s College has new opportunities for committed, positive and suitably qualified sports coaches for the upcoming summer sports season.
Coaches must show a keen interest in, and enthusiasm for, Sport Education and must be energetic, self-motivated and driven. It is essential that coaches are friendly, confident and well-presented and have a passion for working with young people.
The following disciplines are currently being sought, starting from 30 January 2025.
- Basketball
- Cricket
- Hockey
- Soccer
- Softball
Position Status
The positions are casual, and the successful candidates need to be available one or more afternoons Tuesday to Friday, in College term time, with availability required on some days to 5.30 pm.
It is a condition of employment that all employees provide an Employee Working With Children Check (WWCC) or Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration before their position can be confirmed.

- Applicants are required to supply the name, address and telephone number of three referees, two of whom must be able to comment on the applicant’s professional work (or training), during the past five years.
- An employee Working with Children Check (WWCC) or Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration is required to be undertaken by any persons working in the field of education who may come into contact with children without direct supervision. The WWCC is valid for a five (5) year period and the VIT for one year.
- The successful applicant will be required to produce original copies (from which a photocopy will be made) of transcripts of qualifications claimed.

- Remuneration for any position at St Leonard’s College is in accordance with the St Leonard’s College Agreement 2023.
