This role is for a dedicated and energetic teacher of Classroom Music.

Some specifics to the role, while not exhaustive, are

  • Teach in the year 5-10 classroom music programs which have a strong instrumental focus in brass, woodwind, strings, percussion and vocal groups, particularly in years 5 to 7.
  • Participate in the cocurricular music program with concert bands, orchestras and/or choirs. The focus will vary according to the applicant’s area of expertise.
  • Willingness to teach beginner group percussion classes in the year 5-6 program would be highly regarded.
  • Musical direction for theatre productions which will include rehearsals on Sundays and during term breaks.
  • Assist with the preparation of music items for important events on the school calendar such as Community Day and the Annual House Music Competition.

This is a permanent full-time position, commencing Friday 18 January 2019, the new staff induction day.

The WWCC is valid for a five (5) year period and the VIT for one year.
  3. The successful applicant will be required to produce original copies (from which a photocopy will be made) of transcripts of qualifications claimed.
