Classroom Music Teacher Teaching Staff Applications for this position close Monday 12 November 2018 This role is for a dedicated and energetic teacher of Classroom Music. Some specifics to the role, while not exhaustive, are Teach in the year 5-10 classroom music programs which have a strong instrumental focus in brass, woodwind, strings, percussion and vocal groups, particularly in years 5 to 7. Participate in the cocurricular music program with concert bands, orchestras and/or choirs. The focus will vary according to the applicant’s area of expertise. Willingness to teach beginner group percussion classes in the year 5-6 program would be highly regarded. Musical direction for theatre productions which will include rehearsals on Sundays and during term breaks. Assist with the preparation of music items for important events on the school calendar such as Community Day and the Annual House Music Competition. This is a permanent full-time position, commencing Friday 18 January 2019, the new staff induction day.
