Director of Music – Education

Teaching Staff

Applications for this position close Tuesday 23 August 2022

A rewarding opportunity to lead a dynamic music department.

This position of responsibility is an exciting and fulfilling position that ensures teaching and learning in Music curriculum classes is consistent across all years within the College.

While this position specifically encompasses responsibility for the delivery of music curriculum from ELC to VCE/IB, the Director of Music – Education works very closely with the Director of Music – Performance to ensure a cohesive and well-connected program between curriculum and cocurriculum music that offers a wide ranging and well-balanced music education to all students. The Director of Music – Education will likely choose to be substantially involved in the cocurricular music program, bringing their music expertise and leadership to the department.

Experience in teaching Music subjects in Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) or International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) would be an advantage.

This is a permanent full-time time position, commencing at the start of the 2023 school year, Monday 23 January, the new staff induction day.

The College reserves the right to interview and employ a successful candidate before the closing date.
