The College is seeking an experienced candidate to fill the role of Head of Learning - Visual Arts.

The Head of Learning is a challenging and responsible position that ensures teaching and learning of the learning area is consistent across all years within the College. Excellent subject and pedagogical knowledge are essential, as well as strong organisational and interpersonal skills.

The Head of Learning is expected to liaise with the Director of Academic Development, the Director of Teacher Professional Learning and other relevant staff.

The Head of Learning is expected to respond to queries from parents and students, oversee all faculty reports and exams and order additions to the faculty professional library. Most importantly, a love of teaching their subject and a desire to support all learners will be paramount.

This is a permanent full-time position commencing at a mutually agreed date in 2019, preference being at the start of the 2019 academic year, Friday 18 January 2019, new staff induction day.

  2. An employee Working with Children Check (WWCC) or Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration is required to be undertaken by any persons working in the field of education who may come into contact with children without direct supervision. The WWCC is valid for a five (5) year period and the VIT for one year.
  3. The successful applicant will be required to produce original copies (from which a photocopy will be made) of transcripts of qualifications claimed.
