An important pastoral leadership position in the middle school.

The Head of Year 8/9 is done on rotation; that is, the Head of Year 8 one year and then the Head of Year 9 the alternate year.

For 2022 the successful candidate will be in the role of Head of Year 9, leading and caring for students in their final year of middle school at the College.

The Heads of Year across the College are responsible for the general wellbeing and academic rigour of students in the year group.

This is a permanent full-time time position, commencing at the start of the 2022 school year, Monday 24 January, the new staff induction day.

The College reserves the right to interview and employ a successful candidate before the closing date.

  1. Applicants are required to supply the name, address and telephone number of three referees, two of whom must be able to comment on the applicant’s professional work (or training), during the past five years.
  2. An employee Working with Children Check (WWCC) or Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration is required to be undertaken by any persons working in the field of education who may come into contact with children without direct supervision. The WWCC is valid for a five (5) year period and the VIT for one year.
  3. The successful applicant will be required to produce original copies (from which a photocopy will be made) of transcripts of qualifications claimed.
  4.
