A unique opportunity to lead, direct and produce theatre productions.

This position will lead the Hart Theatre and ultimately be responsible for the success of all theatrical productions staged by the student body of St Leonard’s College. The position will report to the Director of Cocurriculum and is responsible for the artistic direction, strategic planning and coordination of all theatrical performances. This position will work to continue to establish and maintain the vision for the general enhancement and reputation of St Leonard’s College as a preeminent destination for students in the Performing Arts.

The Head of Theatre is a three-year tenured position, which will also be incorporated into a permanent teaching role for those qualified to teach and who hold a current VIT registration.

Please note, classroom teaching is not a mandatory component of this role and it may appeal to other applications with experience in theatre production.

This position commences at the start of the 2022 school year, Monday 24 January, the new staff induction day.

  2. An employee Working with Children Check (WWCC) or Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration is required to be undertaken by any persons working in the field of education who may come into contact with children without direct supervision. The WWCC is valid for a five (5) year period and the VIT for one year.
  3. The successful applicant will be required to produce original copies (from which a photocopy will be made) of transcripts of qualifications claimed.
  4.
