The College is seeking an enthusiastic EAL teacher, with experience in Intensive English Language

The Program for Language Acquisition and Cultural Engagement (PLACE) Program is an educational initiative of St Leonard’s College which has been designed to enable students from non-English speaking backgrounds to enrol directly into the College for intensive English language tuition and cultural immersion before transitioning into mainstream classes including English as an Additional Language (EAL).

This position requires the person to work with secondary students, years 9 and 10, in the Intensive English Language (IEL) program. Therefore, experience and understanding in IEL teaching is essential to the role.

The role is a fixed term full time position, commencing Monday 11 July and ending Tuesday 13 December 2022. This role may be extended.

An employee Working with Children Check (WWCC) or Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration is required to be undertaken by any persons working in the field of education who may come into contact with children without direct supervision. The WWCC is valid for a five (5) year period and the VIT for one year.
  3. The successful applicant will be required to produce original copies (from which a photocopy will be made) of transcripts of qualifications claimed.
  4.   5. Remuneration for any position at St Leonard’s College is in accordance with the St Leonard’s College Agreement 2020.
