This role is for an inspiring primary educator with STEM teaching experience.

As St Leonard’s College is committed to The International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) from ELC to year 4, this position will be of particular interest to teachers who have a genuine interest in innovation in primary education, with particular experience in STEM education.

This is a permanent full-time position, commencing as soon as possible on or before term 2, Monday 15 April 2024.

This role includes teaching STEM from prep to year 6 in purpose-built rooms at the College.

Also included in the role is the position of Junior School STEM coordinator, prep to year 4, which has a primary responsibility of preparing and teaching STEM curriculum in the Junior School. STEM incorporates the Science and Technology (Design and Digital Technologies) Curriculums.

While the teaching component of this position is permanent the Junior School STEM coordinator, as with the majority of positions of responsibility at the College, is a tenured position for three years. This position includes some time release and a modest remuneration.

An employee Working with Children Check (WWCC) or Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration is required to be undertaken by any persons working in the field of education who may come into contact with children without direct supervision. The WWCC is valid for a five (5) year period and the VIT for one year.
  3. The successful applicant will be required to produce original copies (from which a photocopy will be made) of transcripts of qualifications claimed.
  4.
