Community Day Fair

 

The Community Day Fair is tomorrow!  Time: 10.00am – 4.00pm

 

Parking
No parking will be available on campus. Parking in the surrounding streets will be limited. Please do not park across driveways or block roads. Council officers will be patrolling the surrounding streets.

We suggest that you bring a backpack for your shopping and take advantage of the warm weather by walking or riding your bike (the bike racks will be open, BYO bike lock).

The pedestrian gates next to the main drive on South Road will be open as will the gates on Ratho Avenue.

 

Free Entry
Entry to the Community Day Fair is FREE (wristband or tickets required for rides and some attractions).

 

Cash and Card
Unless otherwise stated all stalls will accept both cash and card. If paying with cash, correct change is appreciated.

Note: The Chocolate Trailer Game and the Tours of the Harefield Tower and the Backstage Leonardian Tours will both require gold coins.

 

Wristbands and Ticket Books

Please click here to pre-purchase your wristbands.

Pre-purchased wristbands and ticket books that have not already been collected may be collected from the Ticketing and Information Tent on the day of the Fair.

You may also buy wristbands and tickets from the Ticketing and Information Tent on the Main Oval.

We invite all our community members to join us on the Front Lawn at 10.00am for the Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony which will be delivered by Boon Wurrung Elder Uncle David Tournier Jnr who is a Senior Heritage Cultural Officer at the Boon Wurrung Land and Sea Council and a Board Member of the Wathaurong Aboriginal Co-operative. We are honoured to have David join us to officially open the Fair.

 

Food and Drinks
There will be lots of food and drink options available at the Fair including baked potatoes, a BBQ, nachos, Asian fusion, egg and bacon rolls, popcorn, snow cones, fairy floss, dumplings, bubble tea, soft drinks, coffee and a cakes stall.

 

Rides
We have rides suitable for all ages! For the older children, there will be the:

  • Hurricane
  • Ultimate Party Machine
  • Dodgem Cars
  • Freestyle
  • Cyclone

And for the younger children, there will be the:

  • Dragon Coaster
  • An inflatable slide
  • Tea Cups
  • A Jumping Castle
  • An Animals of Oz dispaly

We will also be holding an all ages Silent Disco in the Marjorie Menzies Hall with 80 sets of headphones and three channels of playlists!

 

Things to Buy at the Fair

  • There will be cakes, preserves, show bags, novelties, crystals, Secondhand Uniform Sale, Secondhand Book Sale and more!
  • We will be holding a Silent Auction in the Kevin Wood Centre. The Silent Auction is now live. Click here to bid. Bidding is sure to be spirited!

Proceeds from the Fair
Proceeds from the fair will raise funds for the College’s Aspire Scholarship Program and social action initiatives, providing much needed support to those who are socially and economically disadvantaged.

The Fair Committee would like to thank all the College families who have donated items for the beautiful hampers, blocks of chocolate for the Chocolate Trailer Game, baked cakes and biscuits for the Cake Stall and attended the jams and preserves making days.
