IBDP Visual Arts – “40 Years On” Exhibition

St Leonard’s College is proudly celebrating 40 years of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in 2022. As part of our commemorative festivities we are delighted to announce the IBDP Visual Arts 40 Years Exhibition ’40 Years On’.


Save the Date 

The exhibition will be held from Wednesday 7 September – Wednesday 14 September in the Leonardian Centre foyer. The official opening will be on Wednesday 7 September from 4.00pm – 8.00pm. The opening speech will start at 6.00pm.


Call for Artists

This exhibition is open to all current and past IBDP students from St Leonard’s College.

This is an exciting opportunity for all IBDP students from the past 40 years to exhibit artwork that has been created by them. All forms of Design, Art and Craft will be accepted including sculpture, fabrics and fashion, installation, printmaking, time-based art, digital works, photography, jewellery, and ceramics.

The current 2022 IBDP Visual Art students’ will exhibit their full collection of works. Work created in the past during the IBDP Visual Arts course will be accepted to create a retrospective. Work that has been created since leaving St Leonard’s College will also be considered.


Step 1 Submit your application to exhibit

Please submit a good quality 10MB Jpeg of your artwork using the online platform by Monday 8 August at 4.00pm by clicking here.


Step 2 Exhibitors selection and confirmation

Selected exhibiting artists will then be contacted by Monday 15 August.


Step 3 Final Exhibitors Checklist

  • Selected artwork must be delivered to the College Reception on Monday 22 August by 4.00pm.
  • Two-dimensional and three-dimensional works can be submitted.
  • Artists may exhibit up to 3 pieces.
  • Artworks must have been completed by the artist in the last 3 years.
  • Artwork MUST be framed or mounted ready for hanging.
  • Artists must take responsibility for the transport of their own work.
  • Please fill out your name, title, medium, size and email address and attach it to the back of the artwork. All artwork MUST be labelled or it will not be hung in the exhibition.
  • Artworks must be collected on Tuesday 4 October 4, 8.00am – 4.00pm from the College Reception.
  • Final artworks may be refused at the discretion of the curators.
